Meet the artist behind Dougal
Hello, I’m Gillian—a self-taught artist based in Scotland and the person behind Dougal’s Monthly Post.
I love painting little worlds filled with woodland paths, cosy cottages and small moments of magic. Somewhere along the way, a little sheet ghost in brown boots wandered into my artwork. His name is Dougal, and he’s become the heart of this little adventure.
Dougal’s Monthly Post brings that world to your letterbox. Each month includes an art print, a bookmark, stickers and a colouring page—a few paper treasures to collect, enjoy and make time for.
I’m still learning and exploring as an artist, and that’s part of what makes this project so special to me. From painting the artwork to wrapping your post, there’s a real person taking care of the little details.
My hope is that opening your envelope gives you a reason to pause, put the kettle on and enjoy something lovely.
Thank you for being part of Dougal’s world.
With love,
Gillian x
