These subscription terms and conditions explain how payments, renewals, cancellations, delivery, returns and refunds work for Dougals Monthly Post
These terms apply when you purchase or subscribe to Dougal’s Monthly Post through our website.
By placing an order, you agree to these terms.
About Dougal’s Monthly Post
Dougal’s Monthly Post is an independent illustrated art subscription based in Scotland, United Kingdom.
Each monthly edition may include items such as an art print, illustrated bookmark, colouring page and stickers.
Prices
The current monthly subscription price is £9.99 per month, including standard UK postage.
Prices may change in the future. Any price changes will be shown clearly before they apply to new purchases or subscriptions.
Subscription payments
Dougal’s Monthly Post is a recurring monthly subscription unless otherwise stated.
Payment is taken using the payment method selected at checkout.
You can cancel your subscription so that future payments are not taken. We aim to make cancellation straightforward and will not charge a cancellation fee. UK guidance says subscription terms should be clear, fair and make it easy for customers to stop automatic renewal.
Cancelling your subscription
You may cancel your subscription at any time before your next renewal payment.
Cancelling stops future subscription payments. If payment has already been taken for the current edition, please contact us as soon as possible.
Your statutory cancellation and refund rights are not affected by these terms.
Delivery
Orders are currently available for delivery within the United Kingdom.
Standard UK postage is included in the subscription price.
We aim to dispatch each monthly edition within the timeframe shown on the website or in your order confirmation.
Unless another delivery period has been agreed, UK distance-selling rules generally require goods to be delivered within 30 days.
Returns and change-of-mind cancellations
For standard items purchased online, you have the right to cancel without giving a reason within 14 days of receiving your order.
Once you tell us you wish to cancel, you then have a further 14 days to return the goods.
Returned items should be kept in good condition and handled only as much as reasonably necessary to inspect them.
Unless the item is faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, you are normally responsible for the cost of returning it.
Once the returned item is received, any refund due will be made within the legally required timeframe.
Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
If your order arrives damaged, faulty, incomplete or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible and include photographs where helpful.
Customers have statutory rights where goods are faulty, not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose or not as described.
For faulty goods, consumers generally have a short-term right to reject within 30 days and receive a refund. Other repair, replacement or refund rights may apply after that period.
Refunds
Approved refunds will be made to the original payment method.
If you cancel an eligible online order under your statutory cancellation rights, the refund will include the amount paid for the goods and any standard delivery charge paid. Because UK postage is currently included in our subscription price, there is normally no separate standard postage charge to refund.
We may make a reasonable deduction where returned goods have been handled beyond what would normally be necessary to inspect them.
Personalised items
Some future Dougal’s Monthly Post products may be personalised or made specifically to a customer’s requirements.
Personalised or custom-made goods can be exempt from the usual change-of-mind cancellation right, although customers still retain their rights if an item is faulty or not as described.
Lost or delayed post
If your order has not arrived within the expected delivery period, please contact us so we can investigate.
Please make sure the delivery address supplied at checkout is correct.
Copyright and artwork
All artwork, illustrations, characters and designs supplied by Dougal’s Monthly Post remain protected by copyright.
Purchasing an art print, sticker, colouring page or other item does not transfer copyright or reproduction rights.
Items are for personal use only unless written permission has been given by Dougal’s Monthly Post.
Website information
We try to ensure that product descriptions, photographs and prices are accurate.
Because each edition contains original illustrated artwork and printed items, slight differences in colour may occur between screens and printed products.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. The version that applies to your purchase will be the version in place when you place your order.
